Designed to feel familiar yet smarter, Dia integrates conversational AI directly into your browsing experience—no extra tools or windows needed. Its modern, minimalist interface makes it approachable for both casual users and power users looking for AI-powered productivity.

Key Features
  • Chat with your tabs — Ask questions, get summaries, or draft content by referencing one—or multiple—open tabs. It’s context-aware and intuitive.
  • Unified omnibox — Just type your intent: open a URL, run a search, or ask the AI, and Dia figures out how to respond.
  • Custom “Skills” system — Build or use predefined AI workflows (e.g., writing prompts, research synthesis, shopping comparisons) to automate tasks directly in-browser.
  • Tab-aware intelligence — Automatically contextualizes across open tabs, browsing history, or both, blending info seamlessly.
  • Privacy-centric design — Stores browsing data locally; any server processing happens briefly and transiently, prioritizing user control and security.

What’s new in version 0.44.1

  • Mention @history in Chat or Skills to pull in recent Chats and websites for instant context.
  • PDF reader now captures more details, so you won't miss important info when referencing documents.
  • Drafts and code blocks have a fresh look so writing and debugging are easier to scan and edit.
  • Try Skills directly from the Skills Gallery on any tab, no install needed. Just click Try Skill.
  • When you @-mention tabs, the dropdown hides ones you've already added for faster context management.
  • If an AI model fails, Chat switches to a backup automatically so your work continues.
  • You can enable or disable Memory for each Profile in Settings.
  • Remove specific Memories from your profile using the Personalized with Memory menu below a Chat response.
  • You can control which sites are used in Memory. While on a site, click the signature button on the far right of the URL bar to include or exclude that site from Memory.
  • Temporarily disable Personalization for a Chat with the signature button in the top righthand corner.
  • Split tab browsing shortcut: hold Shift+Option while clicking links to open them on the righthand side.
  • Safety alerts now flag only real risks, reducing distractions from false alarms.
  • Downloads menu reliably shows all previous downloads and pops up at the right time.
  • Download notifications now hide website addresses, preventing confusion and spoofing.
  • Unused profiles unload automatically so Dia stays fast and frees up memory.
  • Bluetooth dialogs now show the full web address before you approve a connection.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing tabs to appear blank for some members after using Dia in fullscreen.
